Shabri Moore combined her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others, with her disciplined and analytical approach to wealth management when she established Moore Wealth, Inc. Educated and trained as a molecular biologist, Shabri parlayed her research skills into building a financial planning practice focused on working with small business owners, physicians, and affluent individuals and families with complex investment and estate planning needs.
As a first-generation American, Shabri understands the power of education and achieving the “American Dream”. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Marshall University and her graduate degree in microbiology from North Carolina State University. Shabri spent over 15 years as a research scientist in the biotech industry working at the National Cancer Institute as well as in the private sector. In 1996 she made a career change to the financial services industry. Shabri is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™ Professional and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. She holds the series 7, 66, 24, and 51 securities registrations as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network.
A strong proponent of the concept that “it takes a village,” Shabri is an active leader and member of the Frederick community. She was an original board member of the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Frederick’s biotech and IT incubator, and one of the founders of the Women’s Business Network of Frederick. She has served on numerous boards and committees including the Grants Committee for the Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick, Frederick County Workforce Development, the Commission for Women, and SCORE. She currently serves as a Trustee of the Community Foundation of Frederick County, a board member of the Chamber of Commerce of Frederick County, and a member of the Planned Giving Committee for Frederick Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Frederick and a graduate of Leadership Frederick.
Shabri has taught courses on personal finance at Frederick Community College, is a frequently requested speaker for professional organizations, and has written financial columns for numerous publications. Shabri has also been interviewed on Bloomberg Radio, CNN and MSNBC. She founded, and for ten years spearheaded, Frederick’s Annual Economic Symposium.
Shabri is an avid traveler and enjoys music, theater, snow skiing, hiking, and the outdoors. Shabri is thrilled to be able to work with her two sons, Sean and Erik.
