Erik Moore, AIF®

Partner & Director of Investment Strategy

Erik, a Frederick native, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Physics and was a NCAA Division I diver. Erik found an opportunity to apply the analytical skills he gained from his degree by joining a financial advising firm in downtown Pittsburgh. While there, he assisted in portfolio management, investment research, and client relationship management; he also played a role in the creation of the firm’s investment committee and assisted in the development of their investment strategy.

Erik brings his analytical expertise to Moore Wealth as a Lead Financial Advisor and Director of Investment Strategy, where he works with Shabri and Sean to develop asset allocation strategies and financial plans. Erik is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed, is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), and is currently working toward his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification.

Erik currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Maryland chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange, the Investment Committee for the Community Foundation of Frederick County, as well as the Membership Committee and Young Members Committee for the Center Club in Downtown Baltimore. He also volunteers with The Arc Baltimore as a member of the Steering Committee for the Luminaries Young Professionals Group, and is actively involved with a number of other charitable efforts in Baltimore City.

Erik and his wife Charlotte live in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore City with their dog Zola, where they enjoy all the benefits of living in a larger city. Outside of the office, you can find Erik, Charlotte, and Zola at their local CrossFit gym, hiking in Patapsco Park, or out and about in any Baltimore neighborhood. Erik and Charlotte also love skiing and international travel but don’t like to be apart from Zola for too long.
